The Land Rover Uganda Club has partnered with the Uganda Rugby Union as part of its goals and objectives of growth through meaningful partnerships and alliances with other Clubs and associations.

The Club already has been involved in some Rugby Union activities before, an example is at the start of 2020 before the onset of the COVID-19 breakdown when members from both Clubs, including the President of the Rugby Union, Godwin Kayangwe were part of an Overland Tour around Uganda where Rugby balls were distributed in different regions in Uganda.

Even this year, 2024, Land Rover Uganda Club will be part of the trips to different regions of Uganda where Uganda Rugby Union will be giving out rugby balls that were donated by Gilbert Rugby.

Gilbert Rugby is renowned throughout World Rugby for making the best rugby balls, as used by Rugby World Cup 2023, England Rugby, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France, South Africa, Australia, the Gallagher Premiership, United Rugby Championship and many many more.

The Club, through its members, partners and supporters will be engaged in activities that will mutually benefit both clubs through the following.

1.     Mutual Learnings from the different Club activities

2.     Growth and exposure to opportunities through partnerships with other Clubs and organisations

3.     Development programmes that benefit both Clubs

4.     Corporate Social Responsibility activities for both Clubs

5.     Build a bank of future members and affiliations

6.     Involvement in Rugby from members, fans and partners

7.     Cost saving through support and voluntary involvement in specific Club activities

8.     Inspire and support future generations through involvement in specific activities organised by either Club

The Land Rover Uganda Club is committed to inspiring future generations at the grassroots. The Club aims to do this through adventure and love for rugby. Rugby is an adventurous game that showcases composure and capability.

We have long celebrated our shared values with the Rugby community in Uganda. These include passion, integrity, and Land Rover’s commitment to go beyond.

The Land Rover Uganda Club celebrates those who embrace life’s challenges. Rugby offers teams the biggest challenge in the game.

In addition, Land Rover Uganda Club will look to share experiences and their passion for the sport with fans around Uganda.

This partnership continues Land Rover’s long-standing association with Rugby which looks to support all levels of the game. Land Rover supports elite players, teams, and tournaments worldwide. It also invests in the grassroots. We are excited about the sport’s future.
