The Club Spanner Day is one of our main technical days, which is a source of valuable information through the experiences of our members, links with the Land Rover enthusiasts, reliable mechanics, vehicle and equipment suppliers. We aim to make the technical jargon understandable for Land Rover owners.

On this Day, every Land Rover owner comes with at least one major tool they use on their vehicle. We help owners learn how to use different safety equipment, tools, and other equipment specifically designed for the different models.

Different Land Rover Models at Velocity on the Spanner Day

This event is open to everyone interested in Land Rovers or anything related to dropping in for a chat and time to learn with like-minded people.  Even if you are thinking of embarking on a Land Rover project but want to talk about how to begin or what is a good Land Rover to begin with, or you just like looking at Land Rovers, come along.

There’ll be flowing music, bbq, drinks and an excellent opportunity to meet up with people who may be working on the same type of project you are working on!  For those that haven’t been to a spanner day before, it is an opportunity to do some simple maintenance checks on your Land Rover, get assistance from other Land Rover owners, chat with other enthusiasts and have a lunch BBQ.

Castrol Staff at the Display Area

It is a day to learn from our Club-approved mechanics, Specialists. It has free mechanical checks for Club paid members, share ideas from other Land Rover enthusiasts, plus showcases of a variety of modifications and add-ons on different Land Rover models. We shall also have Lubricant Specialists who will give a talk about the different approved lubricants and fluids.

A Lubricants Engineer takes some of the mechanics and interested members through training on the different lubricants.

The technical inspections and discussion will go on all day. Velocity Bar and Grill will have a special menu for Land Rover enthusiasts on this day.

We will also have brief technical and non-technical training sessions for anyone interested in learning anything about their Land Rover with our trainers on standby. This can be anything from winching, using your Low-range/Diff-lock, driving on steep slopes using your gears only for braking, and much more. Further training can be arranged with the Club after the event.

You do not need to own a Land Rover to come to our event. You may just be thinking about buying one and would like some unbiased information. Our Club is the right place for you to join. Membership information is on our website and will be shared at the event.
