The Land Rover Uganda Club has confirmed participation in the third edition of the Africa Kwetu tour which will be held from 15th-18th September in the Northern Uganda region.

This was revealed after the tour was officially launched at the Greenland towers at TIO Tours and travel offices in Kampala. Unlike the previous two editions held in Western Uganda, this time the event heads to the Northern Uganda region.

Tendo Mutale the event manager says this year’s event will help in the development of the country as well as protecting and restoring the environment.

“The event will help in the development of the country, people will also learn more about road safety. The other reason is about protecting and restoring the environment. It will also help us associate with the people from the Northern region.” Said Mutale

The event which has been organised to promote local tourism will span 1400 kilometres.

Rally navigator Nasser Kirunda has successfully won the previous two editions that were staged in Western Uganda.

The Land Rover Uganda Club has so far confirmed 3 vehicles which will be part of the tour.

Just like in the previous editions, the Club aims to score highly as road safety champions with careful driving while obeying all the set rules and traffic regulations throughout the drive.
